The HP Elitebook 830 G3/G4 is for frequent travelers, students, and professionals who want a smaller, lighter laptop without sacrificing the “toughness” of the EliteBook brand.

Performance

• The Processor (Intel Core i5/i7): The HP EliteBook 830 G3 and G4 both come in Core i5 and i7 variants
• The Generation (6^th/7^th gen): The HP EliteBook 830 G3 is a 6^th generation laptop while the HP EliteBook 830 G4 is a 7^th generation laptop
• Multitasking (Up to 8GB/16GB/32GB RAM): Both laptops come with a base RAM size of 8gb, that is expandable to 16gb and 32gb
• Storage: The HP EliteBook 830 G3 and G4 can use both HDD and SSD storage but it advisable you go for variants with SSD storage
• Legacy Power (Extra Feature): Unlike newer laptops, these models still include a VGA Port. This is a lifesaver if you often connect to older projectors in classrooms or offices.

• Con: Screen Size. The 12.5-inch screen is great for travel, but if you work on giant spreadsheets all day, you might find it a bit cramped compared to the 14-inch 840 G6.
